"I’m in the final year of my BA in Politics and International Relations & Philosophy at the University of Auckland. I was born in Manila and raised in Laguna and Auckland. Being uprooted on numerous occasions has exposed me to abject hardships, insecurities, and systemic racism. However, I was also gifted innumerable opportunities to develop my interests, primarily in Global Politics & Care Ethics, specifically examining the gendered dimensions of care work and how it shapes the economy. This calls to question the very foundations of the Diasporic Filipino Identity and where Filipinos situate themselves within the global axis of oppression.”
